The Nottinghamshire East Branch of the RSPCA is a local registered charity, separate from the National Society. Our aim is to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals. During 2014 we spent over £25,000 helping local animals in need, assisting with the payment of veterinary treatment for those on a low income who may be unable to fund this themselves.
For the many unwanted animals collected in our area we also pay boarding fees at private kennels. This is until space becomes available at the re-homing shelter at Radcliffe on Trent which is sadly very often full to capacity. The money to finance this is raised at a local level by a small group of dedicated volunteers.
