Southwell Library



Southwell Library on King Street, with a car park at the rear, offers a wide range of services including free internet access and Wifi, local information, photocopier and fax facilities; a large local studies collection, Cafe, Exhibition area and daily newspapers.

The Library service is delivered by Inspire on behalf of Notts County Coucil. Regular events are organised such as The Southwell Library Poetry festival, Village Ventures theatre productions, author evenings and Jazz in the Library once a month.

Children are very welcome with twice weekly Rattle, Rhyme and Roll for babies and toddlers, weekly Storytime Hullaballoo for preschool children and an Art Club with a different activity every week on Fridays 3.45-4.45pm for 9 year olds and over. There are also story and craft activities during school holidays.

There are two meeting rooms and an Art room available for hire.

Library membership is FREE. Opening hours: Mon 9.30am-6pm, Tues, Wed, Fri 9.30am - 12.30pm, Thurs 9.30am-12.30pm, Sat 9am - 3pm and Sun 12 noon - 4pm.
