Sherwood Archers

Sherwood Archers is a well-established archery club in Southwell and we would like to invite you to join us. Our ground is at Maythorne Cottage Field on Lower Kirklington Road, Southwell.

Archery is a sport for everyone. It is for both genders, all ages and strengths, able-bodied and disabled. We all shoot together. It is different from some other sports, challenging you to focus on developing skills to improve aim, accuracy and consistency. Added to this, it is an ideal family sport, as all can learn and participate together, and the level you shoot at can grow as far as your determination and drive allow. We have members at all levels, from beginners and novices, to those who compete in competitions at weekends, and beyond that we have members who shoot at county and regional level and we have had paralympians too.

Beginners courses and coaching are done by our team of qualified coaches. Club nights are Fridays and Tuesdays during the summer, and members have use of the field for practice throughout the year. Our Junior Club meets on Friday nights and two coaches are always there to help them. During the winter months we use our indoor venue at Rainworth.

Taster sessions can be arranged so that you can try our sport yourself. For details of these and Beginners Courses, please look at our website: wwwsherwoodarchers.org.uk
