Spaces Building Limited of Halam, have recently completed the construction of a garden room attached to a period cottage on Church Lane in Kirklington.
The garden room, with its vaulted ceiling, connects the living kitchen to a sheltered patio area in the garden, thus creating a seamless transition between the most used areas within this family home. The beautiful oak fronted porch, an extension of the roof, protects the patio area and is supported by oak columns and knee braces. This frames the bespoke patio doors and glazing, which extends up into the apex of the vaulted ceiling and brings light into the kitchen behind.
Spaces Building Limited also replaced the upvc windows on this elevation with bespoke timber ones which are much more in keeping with this very pretty house. The kitchen ceiling was also lined to attenuate the noise transfer from the rooms above which had always been a problem.
The end result is a fabulous enhanced living space for the family and another prestige project completed by the team at Spaces Building Limited.
