The Debbie Pegg School of Dancing in Farnsfield has just completed its first year in operation. In November 1983 the school was started in the village centre with 2 children's classes in modern and tap. The ballet and national classes were introduced and now the school caters for boys and girls from 3 to classes for adults in body focus and tap.

The fundraising run which took place on 25th May was a galloping success. between them the fifteen lads who took part ran in pairs (sometimes threes) to cover the 64 miles from Skegness to the Pavilion. The competition to guess the time it would take raised £510 fro club funds so it's a real big thank you to all the people who paid for a guess.

One of the last events of the summer term at Holy Trinity Infants school was the Sports Day.

Mrs Dulcie Plummer, Southwell's School 'Lollipop Lady' was delighted to be back on the job two days after being suspended because of an unfavourable medical report.

With almost all of the Diocesan Centenary Celebrations behind us, those who work at the Minster (including many in a voluntary capacity) might be excused for saying, "Thank goodness it's all over!" But before allowing that to happen I asked several people for their reactions and chief memories regarding 1984.
