Every October, Southwell holds The Bramley Festival to celebrate the origins of the Bramley Apple in Southwell. This year the date of the festival is Saturday 24th October.
As part of the Notts Federation Women's Institute Apple Day Competition, the search is on for The Young Bramley Chef of the Year. The competition comprises two age categories: (Juniors) 9-12 years; and (Secondary School) 13 to 18 years.

The Palace Theatre's winter brochure has been released as builders start work on the recently announced integration of the theatre with the National Civil War Centre.
