Horological Institute Taster Days

Tuesday, 25th April 2017 : 25th & 26th April

The British Horological Institute (Clocks and watches to you and me) has been based at Upton Hall since 1972, and in existence since 1858. It is probably not widely know what goes on behind the big white doors other than a museum which is just beginning to open a little more regularly. One of the most important reasons for its existence is to teach aspiring clock & watch repairers, of which there is a serious skills shortage. Numerous training courses are held on site, suitable for enthusiasts as well as professionals. From April the BHI will be offering Taster days, a beginner’s guide to both clocks and watches. These are open to all and membership of the BHI is NOT required, places are restricted due to the sizes of our workshops. Taking place on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th April. The price for a day is £99.00 which will include lunch at the Clock House Café.
