Christmas Carol Service

A carol service in aid of Framework, Notts leading homelessness charity, will take place at Southwell Minster on Friday 8th December at 7.00pm. This traditional occasion will include the chance to sing popular carols and listen to contributions from the Minster Choir as well as Bible and other popular Christmas readings. The service will be followed by seasonal refreshments. Everyone is welcome, and seats can be reserved online at www.frameworkha.org/carols or by calling 0115 970 9558. Reservations may be made until Friday 1st December subject to availability. The service takes place by kind permission of the Cathedral Chapter and with the support of Ann Rowen, Andrew Spybey and Associates and Southwell Rotary. Among the Minster Choir’s musical items will be a new song – Reach Out and Lend a Helping Hand – specially written to raise funds for Framework. The recording of this moving song by 300 musicians from across the East Midlands, already available on CD, is the perfect stocking filler.
