Lowdham Summer Show

Monday, 27th August 2018 : 1pm

On 27th August, Bank Holiday Monday, Lowdham Horticultural Society will be holding its annual Summer Show at the Village Hall in Lowdham. This is a lovely family event opening to the public at 1pm. At 8am the staging of exhibits starts in the marquee. If you think you have flowers or any vegetables that you have grown and you would like to enter them in our show we would be pleased. If you are good at cooking then why not obtain a schedule and find out the produce classes and enter them in the marquee. There is also a photographic section and a very well supported young persons category. We also have a floral art class so if you are fond of arranging flowers please enter. During the afternoon we will be entertained by the Nottingham Concert Band who will play twice for us and the well known Dako Flying Angels will perform their amazing acrobatic routine. There will be Punch and Judy and lots of side stalls. We also have a duck race along the Cocker Beck brook at 4pm. At 4.15pm our trophies will be presented by Robert Jenrick our MP. During all of this we shall serve our famous refreshments in the village hall. Tea, coffee and home made cakes will be available along with a variety of stalls to browse over. Entrance to the show ground is £2.50. Children under 16 free.
