Southwell Tourist Information Centre

Southwell Tourist Information Centre, located in the Minster Centre on Church Street, is generally open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday (dependent on volunteer availability). It serves both tourists and residents by providing an extensive choice of leaflets and brochures about places to visit and things to do in and around the town.

For visitors we have an illustrated town map, basic Southwell guide and series of Heritage Trails as well as a variety of information on places to stay or eat out. These are accompanied by a wide range of leaflets on places to visit in the Newark and Sherwood district and beyond. For those who live in Southwell we stock bus and train timetables, local publications including the Bramley Newspaper, theatre and cinema brochures and detail on concerts, drama and local events taking place each month.

We are always happy to help with all tourism-related enquiries and take great pleasure in welcoming visitors from far and wide who often return to Southwell after an initial visit because they feel there is so much to explore and enjoy. Planning an event? We are happy to display your posters or leaflets and add details to our website which is kept up to date with every aspect of tourism and local activities.

The Tourist Information Centre will be moving to Southwell Library on 1st April 2020.
