The Palace Theatre's winter brochure has been released as builders start work on the recently announced integration of the theatre with the National Civil War Centre. Phase 1 of the work will be completed in October, at which point the theatre's winter season will begin. Season highlights include Hooked On Hits: Dr Hook (22nd October), How The Koala Learnt to Hug (31st October), Lady Boys of Bangkok (4th November) and Ballet UK's Snow Queen (5th November).

Theatre Manager Carys Coulton-Jones said, "it's such an exciting time for the Palace as work on the integration gets underway but at the same time, we can't wait to get back to presenting a great selection of shows to our audiences. I'm particularly looking forward to welcoming back some of the thousands who came to see The Mousetrap earlier this summer for more drama with Macbeth on 3rd November and The Great Gatsby on 27th and 28th November and we're also really pleased about the return of Dominic Kirwan on 29th October and Beyond the Barricade on 21st November".

The winter brochure also features a look ahead to this year's pantomime, Cinderella, which stars Home and Away's Lynne McGranger and Any Dream Will Do's Keith Jack and runs from 9th December to 3rd January. Carys said, "at this time of year we also turn our attention to the festive season, which means pantomime for us. This year's promises to be truly spectacular and tickets have been flying out the door. We're also thrilled that, for the first time, we're able to offer all places in the junior chorus through open auditions for 9-16 year olds – these take place on Sunday 13th September.
