Teams from Southwell City Football Club recently attended a Young Elizabethan League (YEL) presentation event at The Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham.

Trophies were given out by Alan Smith who currently plays for Notts County and is an ex England and ex Manchester united player and also former Nottingham Forest and Scotland player Kenny Burns.

Southwell City Saints ( u13s ) received the League Winners trophy presented by Kenny Burns. The Saints were Sunday Division 3 winners in their first season winning all games and currently sit top of Division 2 unbeaten with one game remaining.

Congratulations to the team: Teddie Cregan, Jack Dalton, Manpreet Hundal, Samuel Manning, Danny Marley, Carter Marshall, Tyler Redfearn, Jamie Sharpe, Daniel Winterbottom, Logan Wyatt, Ryder Wyatt, Caiden Reeve, Camren Sissons and Harvey Stone. And also Tony Wyatt and Carl Attenborough who Manage and Coach the team.

Southwell City Whites (U10s) were worthy winners of the Sunday Division 2. Congratulations to the team: Sam Pierpoint, Matthew Jellie, William Manning, Oliver Musgrove, Charlie Ball, Theo Simpson, Robbie Sharpe, Ernie Andrews, Ted Winterbottom and Joseph Frost.
Team manager and coach Paul Sharpe said: "It is a pleasure to coach and manage this team. All the boys love their football."

Southwell City Dynamos (U9s) came runners up in Division 11. Team players (pictured above) are: Tyler Andrew, Harriet Durham, Jack Taylor, Jack Jarvis, Will Wheatley, Rory Allan, Jack Buckley, Jack Chandler- Crawshaw, Luke Bowman, Rhys Duncan and Ewan Mc Adam.

The team is coached by Dale Lancaster, Matt Wheatley and Eddie Mc Adam. Coach Dale Lancaster said: " I am immensely proud of the players and what they have achieved in this our first competitive season, we hope to keep on climbing up the divisions , but with our priority being that the kids carry on enjoying their football and play with smiles on their faces!"

The Southwell City FC Presentation Day will take place on Saturday 21st May, 11am to 4pm, on the Memorial Field, Southwell.

All 25 teams will be receiving medals and trophies for playing during the 2015 / 2016 season. There will be no shortage of entertainment for all ages with cake stalls, a barbecue, a bouncy castle and a penalty shootout and the club raffle.

There will also be a club raffle with some amazing prizes including: a stay in the Hilton hotel in Krakow for 3 nights, signed Forest and County shirts, Signed Leicester Tigers and England Hockey shirts, Match tickets, BMW hire, Restaurant Vouchers, food hampers and much more!
