A donation from Southwell Torpedos, a community support group providing doorstep support to local people during the coronavirus crisis, has given Reach Learning Disability a helping hand to launch the next stage of their crisis appeal to help people with learning disabilities and their families in Nottinghamshire.

Many local businesses have been operating throughout this difficult time. They have been resilient and creative in finding ways to carry on safely, many arranging 'click and collect' or delivery services. This has proved vital in maintaining essential local supplies and a sense of normality for us all.

Over 80 Southwell & District Live at Home members celebrated VE Day in the comfort of their own homes whilst enjoying a delightful mini Afternoon Tea. The community spirit really shone through as local Turtle Doves and Southwell Torpedos volunteers came together to deliver the mini treat direct to the doorsteps of local residents who remember the original VE Day.
