Open Memory Morning

We are delighted to invite the public to attend our first Open Memory Morning on Thursday 27th February. From 10am-12pm we'd love for you to bring along your photos, old brochures and memorabilia from the Theatre along with your stories and memories to contribute to a fascinating exhibition this September. We're particularly interested in anything from 1920 to 1986 as very little material remains in our collection from this period. If you'd like to attend but are unable to make this date we are holding a second session on Saturday 28th March.

The Storm Officer

The Climate Emergency is Here! This play tells the tale of one town's struggle with the realities of extreme weather. It's designed to address issues like climate change, but does so with gentle comedy, jolly accordian playing and verbal gymnastics. Come rain or shine it's a lovely production.

Pub Walk for Parkinson's

The 2020 Pub Walk for Parkinson’s is on Saturday 7th March. This year’s walk is labelled TARGET 200 with the aim of attracting at least 200 walkers to celebrate our 10th year. The walk is approximately 8 miles long, starting at Farnsfield Cricket Club with registration from 10.30 am. Walkers will start heading off at 10.45, meandering from Farnsfield to Southwell on a variety of terrains. Stout shoes/boots are recommended. The entry fee remains at £15 which includes tea or coffee and a bacon cob before the start. Some food is also provided by The Hearty Goodfellow in Southwellat the end. At least £10 from each entry goes directly to Parkinson’s UK, the research and support charity. This year we are hoping that all 200 walkers will raise at least another £10 to £15 through sponsorship and/or donations so we can reach our target. If you are unable to make the walk, but would like to donate, please visit our just giving page www.justgiving.com/fundraising/The2020pubwalkforparkinsons Contact: Bob Ratcliffe on 07887 707496 or bobratcliffe@btinternet.com Facebook: @pubwalkforparkinsons (updated information available)
