Lowdham Apple Day

Sunday, 21st October 2018 : 11am to 4pm

Lowdham Horticultural Society is holding its 11th Apple Day. There will be a wonderful display of different varieties of apples, also an array of all the fruits of autumn. During the day hot pork cobs will be served with, of course, apple sauce and stuffing, as well as our famous tea and home made cakes. There will also will be cider tasting and the chance to buy. You will be able to watch Adrian Baggaley, who is nationally known for his fruit growing, demonstrate juicing, using the apples from his local orchard. We will also be offering the chance to taste several varieties of apples and you will be able to buy your favourite to take home. Cooking apples will also be available to buy. There will be for sale: our popular preserves, many different jams including mulberry, gooseberry and elderflower and lots of varieties of plums. There also will be a lovely selection of chutneys,and pickles all made from locally sourced produce. These are perfect for that different Christmas gift. A lovely family day out. The cost to enter is £2.50.
