50th Anniversary of Christingle!

Sunday, 9th December 2018 : 5pm

Christingle services held across the country have been providing much needed funds to help The Children’s Society to support over one million vulnerable children and teenagers to get the help they need over the last 50 years. Our Christingle service will be held this year on Sunday 9th December at 5pm in Southwell Minster. This beautiful candlelit service will feature songs and carols, stories and the giving of a Christingle orange to every child and most of the grown-ups too! The service is held to remind us all of the love of God shown to us through the light of Jesus coming into the world and to help to raise money to aid the work of the Children’s Society. The Society works with some of the most vulnerable children in this country who have been bullied, abused, neglected and sexually exploited. Last year the service raised £350 for the Society; let’s aim for even more this year. Please come along and share our service, then stay and enjoy a hot drink or juice and a mince pie!
