Carols to help the Homeless

Friday, 7th December 2018 : 7pm

Local charity Framework is holding a Carol Service at Southwell Minster on Friday 7th December at 7.00pm. A collection will be taken at the service to support the charity’s work with homeless people across Nottinghamshire. The service takes place at a time when rough sleeping is at record levels and dozens of people are sleeping rough each night across Nottinghamshire. Funds raised at the service will support the work of a specialist nurse who is part of Framework’s Street Outreach Team and provides often life-saving support on the streets and in many less obvious places where rough sleepers are to be found. In addition to popular carols to be sung by the congregation there will be performances by the Southwell Minster Choir. The service will be followed by seasonal refreshments. Everyone is welcome and seats may be reserved at until Friday 23rd November. People unable to access the internet may call 0115 970 9558. The service takes place by kind permission of the Cathedral Chapter and is generously supported by the High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire Mr Nick Ebbs, Mrs Anne Rowen, Andrew Spybey and Associates and Southwell Rotary.
