Hoveringham Apple Day

Sunday, 6th October 2019 : 1pm to 5pm

Come and enjoy a family day out, picking apples in the beautiful Victorian orchard at Hoveringham Hall on Sunday 6th October, 1 to 5pm. There are four acres of grounds to enjoy, and stunning views across the Trent Valley. There will be a display in the old stables about the history of the Hall, and an apple press. Visitors can either use the Hall’s, or bring their own apples for juice-making, and are more than welcome to take apples home with them for their own use. The intention is to produce a community cider next year, so we’ll be suggesting how you and your apples can get involved during the next 12 months!” All proceeds from the event are going to the RAF Benevolent Fund to honour the fourteen men who died in two Lancaster crashes in Hoveringham in 1945. Visitors can walk through the Hall’s estate to the Lancaster Aircrew Memorial on the riverbank. Entry £4 (children under 12 free). Refreshments available. Dogs welcome on leads. Ample parking (please follow the signs). For further information please contact Helen Nall: 07989 322815 / 0115 966 3634 / fergusson.art1@btconnect.com
