Southwell City FC recently unveiled their new main pitch at the Centenary Sports Ground, Brinkley.

Young players from the club were mascots for the day as City entertained Keyworth United in a league game, eventually running out 1-0 winners in an engaging encounter.

The football club has invested a lot of time and money into the new clubhouse and pitch, and it was fantastic to see a big turnout of fans for the first senior game at the new ground.

The bumper crowd was swelled by several "Ground Hoppers", who travelled from all over the country to be at the game. They were able to pick up a commemorative programme, which the club produced especially for the occasion.

With senior football now being played at Brinkley, the club will focus on improving the facilities at the Memorial Ground for all our junior teams. As one of the largest junior clubs in the county, the club is keen to invest in the clubhouse so that players and fans enjoy the best possible matchday experience.
