In January 2022 Southwell Rotary Club will be providing a service in Southwell and the surrounding Bramley circulation area, by collecting and recycling "used" Christmas trees in return for a small donation to Rotary Charities of £5 (or more per tree collected.

Southwell Local History Society has just launched its latest book, based on the diaries of George Hodgkinson Junior for the years 1782-84. They reveal an interesting insight of business and social life in Georgian Southwell.

Finally, after being postponed last year a group of 40 friends embarked on their fourth cycle in aid of The Breast Institute. Their biggest three-day challenge yet cycling over 200 miles from Bangor in Wales back home to Wellow, Nottinghamshire! The purpose to raise money for equipment at the Nottingham Breast Institute.

For hundreds of years, children have been at the centre of music in Southwell Minster, lifting their voices at services, concerts, and on special occasions.

Following the loss of Josh Barlow, who is joining the Police Force in Hampshire, Southwell Rugby Club has appointed former Wales International, Andy Powell as its new head coach.

From Monday 12th April, Southwell Rugby Club will be open to serve refreshments to walkers, cyclists and all visitors.

Southwell Music Festival is pleased to announce its 2021 return with a programme of classical and choral music due to take place at venues in Southwell from Wednesday 25 - Monday 30 August 2021.

Southwell’s own charity Reach is excited to announce that a generous donor has offered £100,000 as ‘matched-funding’ to support the charity’s fundraising campaign for their Southwell accommodation project.

Like most other local organisations the Society has had to seriously curtail its activities during lockdown but the trustees have continued to meet via Zoom.
