FORMER pupil and current TV personality William Ivory officially opened the 'Helen Watson Library' at Lowe's Wong Junior School on 15th January.

This occasion marked the culmination of several years of hard work by the PTA, assisted by numerous friends of the school and other organisations. The recently constructed library has been named after another former pupil, Helen Watson, who sadly died last year at the age of 13.

The opening ceremony was marked by a very pleasant evening in which the many guests were welcomed by Headteacher Mr T. Bowler.

Mr G. Moss spoke on behalf of the Area Education Office, and the PTA provided light refreshments after the official ceremony had been completed.

The following day, pupils of the school had their own ceremony, after which the library became fully operational!
