Saturday, 27th November 2021 :

Upton artists and makers are, once again, running a Christmas open studio event – this year over the weekend of 27TH -28th November. Painter and sculptor Susan Isaac will have guest artists, including her daughter, Elsa Rickett-Trueman, with her animal portraits that can be painted to commission. Meet them and see their work (including prints and cards) in and around the family’s 18thC former threshing barn at High Farm, where there is plenty of off-road parking for visitors. From there it is just a five-minute walk to visit the studios of potter Sue Morton at Meadow View, overlooking Upton Church, plus painter Jude Rawson, at her picture book cottage of Rookery Nook, opposite the Cross Keys Inn. The studios will be open 11.00am to 5.00pm each day and entry is free. There will be refreshments at the studios on request. More substantially, nearby is the Clock House Cafe (open on Sat, 930am to 4.00pm) and the Cross Keys Inn. See: www.susan-isaac.co.uk/exhibitions-events
